Somehow I missed your comment ...Thank you, Carolyn. Somehow I missed your comment from January!

This is so significant, though, to me at this moment as this "Joni" speaks of the LORD's timing here. You see, I live in such agony and trauma, each day relying on the LORD's mercies. I live for Him in all I do, even though the heartaches hang on me.

Today I attended the funeral of a very, dear 91 year old man who is now rejoicing with the LORD, his legacy is of a beautiful life lived in righteousness for the LORD. His family is close and loves him dearly. I was so blessed to hear of his life and see his legacy in his family.

How I fit in is his life is that about 2 decades ago I first met him and his dear wife in a small group setting. Eventually, their health began to become fragile. Living each day in the LORD's mercies, I would visit once in a while, and then mostly, I would write letters to them.

The time came when she wasn't remembering well, so he would attend church by himself. I would connect with him and he would always enjoy talking, sharing, and he would always comment about how my letters would brighten her countenance even if she did not remember me. When she went to be with the LORD I continued to write him these last years, always adding the touches I would do for her when she was with him just to bless him.

I write these letters to individuals in the LORD's strength. I don't have important things to say, but I find things to write about and encourage each of them in the LORD. I don't do this or that to acquire acclaim, but to bring a smile, encourage someone who is lonely, just to love on them...

In the everyday's of my life I do not think of the big picture, but now and then I realize what the LORD is doing in me and in others because I write letters. Sometimes, I can actually see how the LORD is using me in the midst of my great agonies ----glorifying Him.

Thankful and so blessed!

The Piper's Wifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17509697472567235161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185359764481159335.post-33911374097469930602019-01-16T14:30:26.304-06:002019-01-16T14:30:26.304-06:00So beautifully said!
