I am sad to see older women feel they need to be decades younger than they are, and I am sad to see little girls wanting to grow up too fast.

I do pray God would change hearts in His church.

Thanks for your posts, Jill.

-CarolynAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185359764481159335.post-36745669119018924662016-07-23T10:55:17.252-05:002016-07-23T10:55:17.252-05:00Thank you, Carolyn. Like so many issues, many Christians do not choose to listen to the LORD.

As this world's chaos continues to spread we can only do what we can in our sphere of influence, and sometimes it can only be our own choice to follow the LORD.

Our Hope is in the LORD!The Piper's Wifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17509697472567235161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185359764481159335.post-907884824402905592016-07-22T13:19:06.599-05:002016-07-22T13:19:06.599-05:00Fantastic link! I see 9 year olds, tweens, and high school girls in skin tight, short clothes, and the college girls in the same but more... miniskirts, fishnets, tops that don't cover their undergarments, skinny jeans, ultra short shorts (especially in summer, yikes, the tiny spaghetti tank tops and 3" inseam shorts come out in droves), and very high heels. With hair and makeup to match. Then I look around and I see mothers - women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond - dressing like these 20 year olds - wearing the same tight clothes, short skirts, tops that are showing things they ought not, and very high heels (not dress pumps, but the kind of heels that say "lady of ill repute"). The husbands and fathers - right by their side.................. doing nothing. I've even seen elders and pastors' wives dressing like this.

(Side related note, the high school/college girls dressed like this always seem to be in very public ministry - like the worship team, or they go on missions trips dressed like this.)

Case in point: Church I used to attend... had several attractive high school & college girls. They always wore tight, short clothes and super high heels. Pretty much all of them were in public ministry and given a lot of privilege. A couple of them had short, chic haircuts, making them look very posh/"mature". I said, mark my words, the 8-9 year olds will start wanting to dress like those girls... Not even 6 months later, a 5th grader cut her hair to a short, chic cut, making her look many years older and "more mature" than she was. She also started wearing miniskirts and heels! With mom and dad sitting right next to her, and obviously buying her those outfits, because at age 10, that girl's not out shopping on her own... (strangely enough though the mother didn't dress provocatively at all).

Go ahead and try to address this issue at your local assembly. I'm sure you can imagine how you'll be received. I honestly don't speak up anymore because I've found it to be a fruitless endeavor.

I've learned that I can only be responsible for my own appearance and conduct. I leave it at that.

-CarolynAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
