There are Wolves in the Church Body
Unwittingly the followers (the recruits) soon learn not to get on the Wolf's wrong side because they will soon see the "Wolf's teeth" (anger, wrath, irritation, shunning, temper tantrums...)
Wolves can turn on you quickly and "cut you down to size", making a scene with you at the center.
Wolves tend to puff themselves up - always thinking they are better than you. Wolves can be simpering sweet, but they are always waiting to pounce on anyone for anything. The reason: Wolves believe they are better than you.
Wolves show their true selves in their inner group who KNOW not to cross them for fear of reprisals.
*Other Christians "fear" them; don't want to get on the angry side of them; don't desire to engage with them; it's not their business...
With Wolves their facial expressions tell you to "watch out!" You don't ever want to get on their wrong side. Instead, when a person is caught in their web they continue trying to please the Wolf at all costs.
Wolves tend to have "their favorites" among their followers as well as having their "whipping boys". Fear runs high in the followers as they are enslaved to the Wolf's whim.
A weapon of Wolves is cruelly shunning their followers.
Wolves use the same dynamics as Abusers use to control their victims.
Many, many times a Wolf acts like the Sheep in the congregation. Always there, always polite, always with an answer...but "something" doesn't seem right:
?Are these issues really important?
?So what if this "person" believes things like that;
?they are so nice, they seem to have the Christian life all in order....
?they seemingly know the scriptures better.
?They must be right in their thinking.
?It is just me who doesn't do things right.
?Why can't I ever make "the Wolf" happy?
God's Word, the Bible speaks of Ravenous Wolves:
John 10:11-15
Jesus says: ...“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep."...
Acts 20:28-31a
..."Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be on the alert,"...
Matthew 7:13-20
...“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.
Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.
Matthew 10:16
... “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves."...
Luke 10:1-3
"Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves."...

You can be set free!
Cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ!
You will find freedom in Jesus!
John 8:36
..."So if the Son sets you free,
you will be free indeed."...

The Beginning of a Cold Heart: forsaking the Body
"Forsake not the assembling
of yourselves together,"
is a most important exhortation.
Even if we should not derive
any especial benefit, at the time,
so far as we are conscious,
yet we may be kept
from much harm.
And very frequently
the beginning of coldness of heart
is nourished by keeping away
from the meetings of the saints."

Hebrews 10:19-25
..."Therefore, brethren,
since we have confidence to enter
the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way which
He inaugurated for us
through the veil, that is,
His flesh,
and since we have a
great priest over the house of God,
let us draw near with a sincere heart
in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled clean
from an evil conscience and
our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast the confession
of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised
is faithful;
and let us consider how
to stimulate one another
to love and good deeds,
not forsaking
our own assembling together,
as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another;
and all the more as you see
the day drawing near."...

Who understands my sadness and who can know why I cry?
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice, the earth melts.
The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations He has brought on the earth.
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields with fire.
He says,
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
