Gnarled tree, Gnarled life

Psalm 119:50 NAS
This is my comfort in my affliction,
That Your word has revived me.

Jill,

From Ps 92, I know you and Glenn aren't "old" yet, but take comfort in these words from your Savior:

12 The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Planted in the house of the LORD, They will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green, 15 To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

And a little fact about a palm tree... unlike most tree trunks, where the xylem and phloem (the vascular structures of plants, which transport nutrients and keep the plant healthy) are only on the outer layer of the trunk, palm trees have trunks that are full of those tissues all the way through... making them very full of sap!

Carolyn...I have just reread your encouragements, and they have blessed me again. Just your words, "take comfort in these words from your Savior", have lifted my head once again! Praise to the LORD God Almighty!

Aw, Jill, isn't God's word precious? He never lets us down in His word, does He?

Thankful the Lord has used me to lift your head.

Carolyn :)
