Matthew 5:43-48
“You have heard that it was said,
‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors, do they not do the same?
And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Even the Gentiles, do they not do the same?
Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Jill,
The title of your post says it perfectly! No one will be able to say “It isn’t fair!” to God. I always enjoy the Charlie Brown clips!
Kathryn
Oh, Kathryn, yes, this Peanuts strip was just waiting for the right time. Today it was my sorrow concerning the delusion people believe which brought it to my mind, and yet, the LORD is still on His throne, He is still working, and He is working in fallible people. His plans can not be thwarted! Glory to God!
Hi Jill,
I am with you on the sorrow of people who are wanting to believe the delusion, because they refuse to love the truth of the word of God. It's mind-boggling.
However, a hearty AMEN to your statement: "The LORD is still on His throne... His plans can not be thwarted!"
Election or not, whatever may come, it ain't over yet. The LORD gets the final word and the ultimate victory! Sorrow may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning!
(I'm still praying for this election... if it's being influenced by fraud as many suspect, this may get quite complicated... but we have a President who truly will fight for the American people... and a God who just loves upsetting the apple cart.)
A hello to Kathryn (a fellow Peanuts lover!) & blessings to you both!

Thank you, Carolyn, and praise the LORD! The LORD has the final word! We can trust Him all the way!
Jill,
I have inner peace when I read Psalm 2 and know that God laughs at the puniness of man and his corruption. Amen to your comment that God has the final word and our trust is steadfast in Him! And Carolyn’s reminder that God is victorious!
Our country needs to hear Truth proclaimed from the pulpit and more Christians who aren’t afraid of bearing witness to Him. Your blog (and Glenn’s) is great encouragement for readers who love Jesus...and hopefully some others will see the light!
Kathryn
Kathryn...thank you :o). What joy to hear you are encouraged! Praise the LORD! This is all my heart desires! May He allow our voices to be heard here much longer!
Glory to God!
I lost a dear, elderly woman in September, Evelyn, but only finally heard a week ago. I received another one of my letters returned today. My heart sank and cried again knowing she never even considered the LORD. She was a tough nut to crack, but I loved her still.
Maybe in glory I will be blessed to see her because she did cry out to Him before she died?!
Jill,
I’m sorry to learn of the death of your friend, especially since she never indicated her salvation. Those unanswered questions are the hardest. You lived and loved before her as a true believer, I know. The Lord saw every kindness you extended to Evelyn, so maybe He
used your testimony to soften her before she passed. I hope so, too. Your times and letters must have blessed her! Hopefully she knew it in the end.
Love,
Kathryn
Oh, Kathryn, thank you for your kindness.
This world is not our home, and oh, do I long to see His face!
Come Quickly Lord Jesus!
Jill,
Sorry for the loss of your friend, especially under the circumstances.
I echo Kathryn's sentiments.
-Carolyn
Oh, thank you, Carolyn.
Evelyn was a sweet little thing in her 90's with very different views than I. I loved on her each week for two years until the "shut down" when I continued to write her each week.
Once in a while I saw her wondering about me. She was not use to people caring about her for just herself (she had "money"). I was not use to an elderly person who had such a hard and tough defence system, but each week she seemed happy in her own way, which was blessing to me.
Jesus is the Light of the World, and we can surely shine for Him no matter who we come along side. Glory to Him!
