Not 'you' centered.
You must become one of THEM
in any Controlled,
Manipulated,
Abusive
group.

Thankfully I don’t know a lot about cults, other than witnessing to JW’s and seeing a friend’s son disown his birth family to join a ‘new’ family. But a tell-tale sign seems to involve a cutting of ties with family members. Somehow, those falling under the wicked influence of cultish behavior are told lies and made to believe what they’ve always been taught is wrong! Some JW’s have grown up in church, only to be seduced later in life by heretical teachings. And now our public schools (maybe not all) are twisting history to make impressionable children
believe the founding of our nation was bad! The Lord surely sees and there will come a day of righteous judgment.

Thank you, Nelia. Yes, one of the first signs of cult-like behavior is when the person is told to deny and reject their family and friends. This way their whole support system from their life is unjustly cut off so they now have the "new family" only as their complete support system.
Yes, being in a destructive, controlling group is difficult to leave, and many times the person who does get away tends to be broken and leans towards other false people groups. It is very sad.
Yes, I agree about our children.
Yes! the LORD sees, hears, and has His plans! We look forward to His righteous judgements! Praise God we are not on our own!
