The LORD's Promises will not Disappoint
*
Our Spring has sprung with early bulbs in bloom, budding of trees, and the promise of more perennials beginning to show their "baby" leaves.
Dangerous weather missing us so far, but other friends and family receiving much of it.
This all reminds me of how the LORD watches over us. He loves us, cares for us, mourns with us as we struggle in our sin-filled world.
Even when what seems to be the worst things happen, like death...He made a way so we and our loved ones will enter Glory and be with Jesus. We miss them! but we will see them when it is our turn to be with Jesus!
*If you do not know how this ever could happen:
-We live in a sin-filled world and even we are sinners! We need a Savior and the God of the Bible made a way with His own Son, Jesus, whose death and resurrection was our atonement for our sins.
The next step is for you to choose to turn away from your sinning and confess that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
Salvation is a free gift from God. No one can do any works to get there.
When a person trusts in Jesus alone we can look forward to eternal life in Heaven with Jesus.
Praises to our God and King!

Life Slips By...Run to the LORD...
Where are you going my little one? Little one
Where are you going, my baby, my own?
Turn around and you're two,
turn around and you're four
Turn around and you're a young girl
going out of the door
Turn around
Turn around
Turn around and you're a young girl
Goin' out of the door
Where are you going my little one? Little one
Little Dirndls and petticoats,
where have you gone?
Turn around and you're tiny,
turn around and you're grown
Turn around and you're a young wife
with babes of your own
Turn around
Turn around
Turn around and you're a young wife
with babes of your own
Where are you going my little one? Little one
Where are you going, my baby, my own?

Ahhh...Springtime is just around the corner
Pansies
-Kinsman*
We have had "warm" weather these last weeks. Today I saw tulips coming up in our south garden and I have seen Robins for a few weeks already. Robins sometimes stay for the winter, but I saw none until last week.
Pansies are wonderful flowers in the cool of the Spring and the cool of the Autumn. Try them sometime; they are some of my favorites. :o)
Enjoy the changing of the season!

"I am the Vine, you are the Branches"
*
It is the branch that bears the fruit,
That feels the knife,
To prune it for a larger growth,
A fuller life.
Though every building twig be trimmed,
And every grace
Of swaying tendril, springing leaf,
May lose its place.
O you whose life of joy seems left,
With beauty shorn;
Whose aspirations lie in dust,
All bruised and torn,
Rejoice, though each desire, each dream,
Each hope of thine
Will fall and fade; it is the hand
Of Love Divine
That holds the knife, that cuts and breaks
With tenderest touch,
That you, whose life have borne some fruit,
Might now bear much.

John 15:1-11
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full."...

Life in the Winter/"Winter"

"His grace is strength and life, His love is bloom and flower"
"Do not fret because of evil men
or be envious of those who do wrong."
Psalm 37:1
*
Never become extremely upset over your circumstances. If worry were justified, it would have been during the circumstances surrounding the writing of this Psalm...
..."Do not fret." Never get unduly upset! Stay cool! Even for a good reason, worrying will not help you. It only heats up the bearings but does not generate any steam. It does not help the locomotive for its axles to become hot; their heat is only a hinderance. The axles become heated because of unnecessary friction. Dry surfaces are grinding against each other instead of working in smooth cooperation, aided by a thin cushion of oil.
Isn't it interesting how similar the words "fret" and "friction" are?
Friction caused by fretting is an indication of the absence of the anointing oil of the grace of God.
When we worry, a little bit of sand gets into the bearings. It may be some slight disappointment, ungratefulness, or discourtesy we have experienced---suddenly our life is no longer running smoothly.
Friction leads to heat, and heat can lead to very dangerous conditions.
Do not allow your bearings to be heated.
Let the oil of the Lord keep you cool so that an unholy heat will not cause you to be regarded as one of the "evil men".

Dear restless heart, be still; don't fret and worry so;
God has a thousand ways His love and help to show;
Just trust, and trust, and trust, until His will you know.
Dear restless heart, be still, for peace is God's own smile,
His love can every wrong and sorrow reconcile;
Just love, and love, and love, and calmly wait awhile.
Dear restless heart, be brave; don't moan and sorrow so,
He has a meaning kind in chilly winds that blow;
Just hope, and hope, and hope, until you braver grow.
Dear restless heart, recline upon His breast this hour,
His grace is strength and life, His love is bloom and flower;
Just rest, and rest, and rest, within His tender power.
Dear restless heart, be still! Don't struggle to be free;
God's life is in your life, from Him you may not flee;
Just pray, and pray, and pray, till you have faith to see.
