Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active
and sharper than any two-edged sword,
and sharper than any two-edged sword,
and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit,
of both joints and marrow,
and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

...If God brings to your mind a verse which hurts you, you may be sure that there is something He wants to hurt.
You, Lord, are the judge of my thoughts and my heart.
Place the sword of Your Word between my soul and spirit
and reveal to me today things in my life that displease You.
