The LORD God will fight for you!
Sisters, I understand.
Life is tough and people are cruel and evil.
Sometimes "the people" are ones you never, ever would believe would "stab you in the back and then twist the knife". But this happens. People are sinners, even the ones you have loved and trusted.
Sisters in Christ, do not be overcome by evil, but trust the LORD.
Exodus 14:14
"The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.”
Romans 12:1-21
"Therefore I urge you, brethren,
by the mercies of God,
to present your bodies a living
and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God,
which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind, so that you may prove
what the will of God is, that which is good
and acceptable and perfect...
...Bless those who persecute you;
bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice,
and weep with those who weep.
Be of the same mind toward one another;
do not be haughty in mind,
but associate with the lowly.
Do not be wise in your own estimation.
Never pay back evil for evil to anyone.
Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
If possible, so far as it depends on you,
be at peace with all men.
Never take your own revenge, beloved,
but leave room for the wrath of God,
for it is written,
“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
“But if your enemy is hungry,
feed him,
and if he is thirsty,
give him a drink;
for in so doing
you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good."

Jill!!!!!!!!!!!!
If only you knew how much this post is ministering to me at this present time.
I love the quote in the meme. One's character can be entirely independent of one's 'reputation'.
"Your character is what you really are." Consider Christ. Impeccable Character. Not one spot, stain or blemish.
But the Pharisees didn't exactly speak well of Him. "Reputation is merely what others think you are."
I love the Exodus 14 quote, as well as all you posted from Romans 12.
Blessings to you!
-Carolyn
Oh, Carolyn, how I praise the LORD for lifting your head in this, as well as mine, and may others also be encouraged as well.
Oh, my, yes...this meme was so significant to me that I had to use it. God's Word is enough, but someone writing a truth from Him is huge! Then it brings us to His Word! A win, win!
Our lives are troubled and overwhelmed by sin. First our own sins, which are continually being forgiven by our mighty Savior Jesus, but then the sins of such pernicious evil peoples. We need to be reminded by each other that we are not alone, ever! The LORD God Almighty is always with us. We live in His strength and His comfort, full of His mercies and grace! Glory to His Name! And praises to Him for ministering to you! Thank you for sharing!
