Beware of False Humility
Years ago I read of a woman who sounded so godly, so spiritual. She knew how to write well and it all sounded so genuine. Time would play out and her true nature was not able to be hidden any longer. Oh...how many women have followed her teachings, and how many have been hurt and damaged by her evil intent?
As a child of God we must be so aware of our surroundings. We must hold ourselves back from eagerly following any teacher, man or woman, until we see their godly, biblical, righteousness lived out.
We must tread carefully in our lives not only for the purpose of keeping ourselves and others from being duped, but for the greater purpose of avoiding emotional, spiritual, psychological, and even physical damage to ourselves and to those for whom we love and care.
The LORD told us of the Wolves around us. He told us of the tares among the wheat. He told us to be as shrewd as serpents.
Precious women...be careful out there! Remember the LORD is with you!
Matthew 7:13-20
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits."
Matthew 10:16
“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves."
Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43
"Jesus presented another parable to them, saying,
“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.
The slaves of the landowner came and said to him,
‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
And he said to them,
‘An enemy has done this!’
The slaves said to him,
‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’
But he said,
‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers,
“First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said,
“Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
And He said,
“The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear."
Acts 20:25-32
“And now, behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face. Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.
Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.
And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified."

Hi Jill,
The worst of them all are the legalists, who turn their own opinions into "thus saith the Lord". And then foist their opinions upon us.
