Abounding in Real Knowledge and All Discernment

Life is truly so much more than Chocolate Chip Cookies!
*
**Those of you who know
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior,
you are my sisters in Christ!
What joy!
*

Now, sisters...

"
I pray, that your love may abound still more and more
in real knowledge and all discernment,
so that you may approve the things that are excellent,
in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ;
having been filled with the fruit of righteousness
which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God."
Philippians 1:9-11
*

"Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ,
if there is any consolation of love,
if there is any fellowship of the Spirit,
if any affection and compassion,
make my ( Paul) joy complete by
being of the same mind,
maintaining the same love,
united in spirit,
intent on one purpose.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit,
but with humility of mind
regard one another as more important than yourselves;
do not merely look out for your own personal interests,
but also for the interests of others.

Have this attitude in yourselves
which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, although He existed in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant,
and being made in the likeness of men.

Being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself
by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

For this reason also, God highly exalted Him,
and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow,
of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians 2:1-11

Jill,
Wonderful scripture here! The other day I was thinking of a lot of political figures, naming them to the Lord, and took great delight in knowing that one day they all will bow their knee to Jesus and proclaim him Lord!

Kathryn! wonderful! Pray! and do not become discouraged! I love it! Thank you for your encouragement!

It is "easy" to become discouraged in the "climate" of our world. Life has always had sin abounding, we are not the first. We must not lose heart, but seek His face, trusting Him to fulfill His Words. We are to walk in faith, living for Him no matter what the world's "climate" is!
