Tell the Truth

From Got Questions (please read the whole subject at this link and find the scripture links there also)

The last paragraph from "Got Questions" on Truth:

..."The Bible says that God delights in truth.

“The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth,” declares the psalmist"
(Psalm 145:18, NLT).

 Because of truth’s high value, Solomon counsels,
“Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well”
(Proverbs 23:23)

God takes pleasure in seeing His truth reflected in the character of His children
(Psalm 15:1–5; 51:6).

He calls believers to worship Him in truth
(John 4:24),
love others in truth
(1 John 3:18),
and always speak the truth
(Ephesians 4:15, 25; Zechariah 8:16)."
*

Let's be careful out there and pay attention to what is real truth  :o)

A Patriot Speaks: Audie Murphy

“Loyalty to your comrades, when you come right down to it, has more to do with bravery in battle than even patriotism does.

You may want to be brave, but your spirit can desert you when things really get rough.

Only you find you can’t let your comrades down and in the pinch they can’t let you down either."

——Audie Murphy, a Patriot, WW2 Medal of Honor recipient, plus 23 additional medals

George Washington speaks even today:

"The marvel of all history is the patience with which men and women submit to burdens unnecessarily laid upon them by their governments."

My Mother's Day Wish

My mother would have LOVED this planter!

She would have laughed and laughed

and then she would have said,
"How Cute!"

Mother's Day is Every Day in Prayer

A Mother’s Blanket of Prayer

When you were young
And it was cold outside
With a blanket
I covered you with care.

Now that you are older
And the world is much colder,
I now cover you with
A blanket of prayer.

A Mother's Day Memory

Memories

My father would have my mother choose all her annuals for Mother's Day.

What joy it was to see all the colors!  She was always so happy to pot them up.

Those shopping trips also had a few new perennials purchased to fill her perennial gardens which surrounded the house.

One of her joys were the Red Poppies right at the front door. They returned every year in their glory...(until there was too much shade in her later years).

I remember my mother wanted me with the poppies...but my father only took me at the poppies  :o).

Mother's Day Flowers

My mother loved flowers. She loved perennials and annuals.  :o)

I did not know until later in her life that she loved Purple Cone Flowers so very much.

My yard is full of perennials, some of which came from her yard, and now all these years later I'm blessed with all my memories of her.

I remember her laugh, her smile, her hugs, her tears, her love for all of her family.

Her tenderness is my treasure.

Be so very careful where you receive your Advice

"They taught them deceit
and deception."
*
James 2:8-17
..."If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture,

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”

you are doing well.

But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

For He who said,

“Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.”

Now if you do not commit adultery, but do commit murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty.

For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy;

mercy triumphs over judgment.

What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works?

Can that faith save him?

If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them,

“Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,”

and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself."...

"They will suddenly be ashamed"

"Oh, Grief hath changed me
since you saw me last"

-Shakespeare
*

"O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger,

Nor chasten me in Your wrath.

Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am pining away;

Heal me, O Lord, for my bones are dismayed.

And my soul is greatly dismayed;

But You, O Lord—how long?

Return, O Lord, rescue my soul;

Save me because of Your lovingkindness.

For there is no mention of You in death;

In Sheol who will give You thanks?

I am weary with my sighing;

Every night I make my bed swim,

I dissolve my couch with my tears.

My eye has wasted away with grief;

It has become old because of all my adversaries.

Depart from me, all you who do iniquity,

For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.

The Lord has heard my supplication,

The Lord receives my prayer.

All my enemies will be ashamed
and greatly dismayed;

They shall turn back,
they will suddenly be ashamed."

His eyes go to and fro looking for those whose heart is completely His!!!

Any of us can look back at our lives from the past remembering how those days seemed idyllic. And probably they were- compared to today.

A safer, more kind, more caring, more friendly, more forgiving, more joys, more neighborly, more simple, more rest, more fun...

As adults we also know our true history which means every life in the past was not perfect. It was full of a host of evil also.

Today's evils trample us, wear us out, break us down, trying to make us like them...But we have an Awesome God who knows us, holds us, encourages us, teaches us, lifts our heads above the muck of our lives.

We can be fearful of the future, but then REMEMBER who we are in Jesus Christ!

We are not let loose on our own! We are not forgotten by our Savior!

We are held in the palms of His hands, our names are written in His Book, His eyes are always looking at us, being with us, saving us even before Glory!

When your days are full of fear; when your work is troubling; when your witness is poorly; when your faith is feeble....He is with us! Don't despair...cry out to the One who can move mountains!

When you are in troubles, sorrows, agonies, despairs--you can thrive! You can thrive in His strength which He gladly, joyously gives to each of us who call Him our Savior!

Let's do it!

Let's glorify the LORD in all we do, even in the hard stuff because He lifts our heads among the muck --so we can miraculously glorify Him!

Glory!

2 Chronicles 16

..."Yet because you relied on the Lord,

He delivered them into your hand.

For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro

throughout the earth that He may

strongly support those whose heart is completely His."...

A Most Expensive Liquid

The LORD knows your sorrows;

He knows your heartaches;

He knows your agonies;

He understands your groans...

*

Psalm 56

"Be gracious to me, O God,

for man has trampled upon me;

Fighting all day long he oppresses me.

My foes have trampled upon me all day long,

For they are many who fight proudly against me.

When I am afraid,

I will put my trust in You.

In God, whose word I praise,

In God I have put my trust;

I shall not be afraid.

What can mere man do to me?

All day long they distort my words;

All their thoughts are against me for evil.

They attack, they lurk,

They watch my steps,

As they have waited to take my life.

Because of wickedness, cast them forth,

In anger put down the peoples, O God!

You have taken account of my wanderings;

Put my tears in Your bottle.

Are they not in Your book?

Then my enemies will turn back

in the day when I call;

This I know, that God is for me.

In God, whose word I praise,

In the Lord, whose word I praise,

In God I have put my trust,

I shall not be afraid.

What can man do to me?

Your vows are binding upon me, O God;

I will render thank offerings to You.

For You have delivered my soul from death,

Indeed my feet from stumbling,

So that I may walk before God

In the light of the living."
