Waiting, Trusting the LORD

 By Marjolein Bastin

My son, do not forget my teaching,

But let your heart keep my commandments;

For length of days and years of life

And peace they will add to you.

Do not let kindness and truth leave you;

Bind them around your neck,

Write them on the tablet of your heart.

So you will find favor and good repute

In the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

It will be healing to your body

And refreshment to your bones.

Honor the Lord from your wealth

And from the first of all your produce;

So your barns will be filled with plenty

And your vats will overflow with new wine.

My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord

Or loathe His reproof,

For whom the Lord loves He reproves,

Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom

And the man who gains understanding.

For her profit is better than the profit of silver

And her gain better than fine gold.

She is more precious than jewels;

And nothing you desire compares with her.

Long life is in her right hand;

In her left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are pleasant ways

And all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her

And happy are all who hold her fast.

The Lord by wisdom founded the earth,

By understanding He established the heavens.

By His knowledge the deeps were broken up

And the skies drip with dew.

My son, let them not vanish from your sight;

Keep sound wisdom and discretion,

So they will be life to your soul

And adornment to your neck.

Then you will walk in your way securely

And your foot will not stumble.

When you lie down,
you will not be afraid;

When you lie down,
your sleep will be sweet.

Do not be afraid of sudden fear

Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;

For the Lord will be your confidence

And will keep your foot from being caught.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,

When it is in your power to do it.

Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back,

And tomorrow I will give it,”

When you have it with you.

Do not devise harm against your neighbor,

While he lives securely beside you

Do not contend with a man without cause,

If he has done you no harm.

Do not envy a man of violence

And do not choose any of his ways.

For the devious are an abomination to the Lord;

But He is intimate with the upright.

The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,

But He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.

Though He scoffs at the scoffers,

Yet He gives grace to the afflicted.

The wise will inherit honor,

But fools display dishonor."

Just Like Two Bugs in a Rug

God's Creation in Miniature

Genesis 1:24-25
...“Let the earth bring forth living creatures
 after their kind:
cattle and creeping things
and beasts of the earth after their kind”;
and it was so.

God made the beasts of the earth
after their kind,
and the cattle after their kind,
and everything that creeps on the ground
 after its kind;
and God saw that it was good."...

June 14, Flag Day.

Let's all sing the National Anthem as loud as we can!

We don't need a special person to sing it!

Let's all sing it ourselves from now on!

The Star-Spangled Banner

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light

What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,

O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Attributes of being Polite while living within a Cult

Cult Like - Abuse - Manipulation - Specific Manners - Control - Cruelty - Enslaved - Destruction...and Politeness?

Cults and Cult-like groups and families have dynamics which require its members to follow - or they will face the consequences.

Mainly, Cults and Cult-like groups require obedience; obedience to the Leader. Obedience to the leader comes with great cost to the members: Their Freedom.

Members learn and know about following the "rules" of their specific Cult.  They learn to obey, don't ask any questions, act like it is normal, and then, it even begins to feel and be normal. Life continues and they continue to be instilled with falsehoods of their group.

Their former life is then only a "bitter" memory. They now "belong" to what they believe is the "right way" to live with the people who they now believe are righteously more holy than everyone else on the planet. A piety begins and these cult-like people "stand out" from the crowd who unknowingly believe "these people", although strange, are more godly than others.

Everyone is "polite" to the Cult as they are just living what they believe and how can this be wrong?

Many Cult-like peoples can "claim" the Name of Jesus and they can quote scripture faster than you ever can, but they use it to destroy their members and all other people in their path.

God's Word is Holy and when Cult-like people use it for their own gain they are blaspheming God and with this, taking their victims, their people with them.

If you are involved with any people who seem to have any Cult-like behavior, one of which is twisting God's Word, Blaspheming the LORD! then you need to:

RUN! LEAVE! and then find true Bible Believing People who do NOT twist God's Word to mean what the Cult wants it to mean.

*TRUST GOD RATHER THAN MAN*

..."Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene.

Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.”

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

They [CULTS] are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them.

We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."...

Beloved.....Be careful out there!

There are MANY Wolves in Sheep's clothing intentionally twisting God's Word to win more people into their net to trap them!

You, Beloved, READ God's Word for Yourself and come alongside godly men and women who can show you what is false, what has been twisted!

The LORD be with you.

All our Strength Comes from Him

1956: R3Y-2 Tradewind refueling four F9F Cougars

Once again the Navy is refueling, but even more so - do we need to be (refueled) connected to our Lord and Savior, Jesus!

These planes connect to refuel and then they are on their own again.

As Christians we are to be connected 24/7.  We can read His Word, discuss His Word, think on His Word, sing His Word, learn His Word, glorify His Name, Share His Name, talk with Him, and trust Him....but don't ever disconnect from Him!  Jesus should be your life!

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them...your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you....

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also....

“The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you?

You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’  For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Remembering Who Fought for Our Freedoms!

 ~Charles Schulz

*

Psalm 118:1-9

"Give thanks to the Lord,

for He is good;

For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Oh let Israel say,

“His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

Oh let the house of Aaron say,

“His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

Oh let those who fear the Lord say,

“His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

From my distress I called upon the Lord;

The Lord answered me and set me in a large place.

The Lord is for me;

I will not fear;

What can man do to me?

The Lord is for me among those who help me;

Therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
 than to trust in man.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
 than to trust in princes."...
