This Spring seems like we have been in one dangerous storm after another.
"Pay attention to the weather", we say to each other as we all go on our different ways.
We all should know the precautions to take on an "iffy" day, especially because it could save our lives to find shelter.
Now-a-days our "weather apps" constantly warn us about the dangerous weather which "may" occur that day, and so we keep our eyes open so we can be safe.
Meanwhile, "lurking around" our very lives are other dangers which are even more dangerous than the weather. These dangers are after our very souls by keeping us from God's real Truths.
This is why we need to be in The WORD, The Bible so we can learn the Truth!
These dangers are spiritual. We do not realize that we are bombarded with spiritual dangers every day. This could be the WORD represented by false teachers or even from our friends, music twisting God's words, Bible studies with wrong meanings, and even our own selves if we pick and choose what we want to believe in His Word...
We do not desire to be lead down false trails away from the Truth of what the LORD God has said. Our lives are precious to Him! Let's become better stewards of God's Word so we can truly glorify Him rightly!
Be careful out there! Jesus died for us- so let's glorify Him by learning His Truth!
I was about fifteen miles from this tornado which devastated this town. I was 18, my older brother was home on Spring Break.
We had no idea what was happening, but even the cats were terrified, crawling across the floor on their bellies. When my mother saw this, plus the wind, she told us to head to the basement -even my brother came with us!
There were no tornado sirens then. There were no news programs telling us to beware. My mother knew this storm was very serious and she took action.
Our little town was not damaged at all, but soon enough we began to discover what happened to that quaint town south of us.
For we Believers more danger lurks in the falsehoods taught by false teachers. They only claim "truths" about our loving God, but they are wolves in sheep's clothing.
Be careful out there!
"I solemnly charge you in the
presence of God and of Christ Jesus,
who is to judge the living and the dead,
and by His appearing and His kingdom:
preach the word; be ready in season
and out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort, with great patience and instruction.
For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine;
but wanting to have their ears tickled,
they will accumulate for themselves teachers
in accordance to their own desires,
and will turn away their ears from the truth
and will turn aside to myths.
But you, be sober in all things,
endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist,
fulfill your ministry."...
