Genuine Thankfulness

We all easily forget to be genuinely thankful.  It is easy to say, “If it isn’t one thing it is another.” because life is difficult and things do not go the way we want.

We must remember that this life is not about us, but about glorifying our great God.

The next thing that happens that we do not want---let’s remember what is important.  Find something to be thankful for in the situation.  And if there is nothing you can think of to be genuinely thankful for, then be thankful that our heavenly Father is sovereign and we can rest in Him.

Praising God with you!

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice!  Let your gentle spirit be known to all men.   The Lord is near.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which passes all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7
