Jealousy: A Noisy Gong, A Clanging Cymbal, Nothingness...

 A basic sin: Jealousy.

Jealousy comes out in different ways, in different people.

Some destructive people, though, must "WIN".

They don't care about you - they only think of  themselves and how to get what you have.

Their thinking is evil and devious as they plot and they plan and, eventually, they bring others into their evil plots.

The others join in with the leader of the plot, maybe not knowing what is transpiring, but soon they too relish the leader's devious plot and follow along for themselves.

Evil, jealous people become fixated on how to get what the certain other people have. There is no thought of the innocent people because evil people only care about themselves and getting all which they desire.

This all ends in sorrows for the innocent ones. LORD have mercy!

LORD have mercy on those who covet...bring them to repentance...

..."A tranquil heart is life to the body,
But passion is rottenness to the bones."...

..."I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a man and his neighbor. This too is vanity and striving after wind.

The fool folds his hands and consumes his own flesh.

One hand full of rest is better than two fists full of labor and striving after wind."...

..." Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved.

Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play.”

Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.

Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents.

Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it."...

"If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love."
