The Wrong Road

Wisdom speaks:

Proverbs 5:21-23

"For the ways of everyone are before the eyes of the Lord,

And He observes all his paths.

His own wrongdoings will trap the wicked,

And he will be held by the ropes of his sin.

He will die for lack of instruction,

And in the greatness of his foolishness he will go astray."

Proverbs 8:11

"For wisdom is better than jewels;

And all desirable things cannot compare with her."

Proverbs 15:3, 33

"The eyes of the Lord are in every place,

Watching the evil and the good."

"The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,

And before honor comes humility."

Proverbs 18:10

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower;

The righteous runs into it and is safe."

Why do we have to work in heaven when we spent our entire earthly lives working just to get basic necessities? Where is the rest in that? One objection I have is that Christianity teaches we lose our free will when we get to heaven and we are no longer autonomous beings.

Anonymous,

Although those are good questions, they have nothing to do with the blog post.

I don’t recall anywhere in the Bible where it says we will be working in Heaven. If so, what is wrong with work? Man was created to labor, to keep occupied.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say we lose our free will in heaven. All we know is that we will no longer have a sin nature.
